First, you can call me for a 15 minutes free telephone session, to ask any questions you may have about counselling and my work. We can discuss if counselling and working with me is the best way for you to seek help at this time.
Once we decide to start our sessions, we will agree on a regular time to meet every week. This will be on the same day and at the same time each week, for 50 minutes.
Counselling is teamwork. It is important you attend your sessions weekly to get the best results.

The first session is an opportunity for you to tell me about yourself. I will ask you some questions and talk briefly about our contract.
We will agree on how to work together and what to focus on. We will also discuss the length of time you decide to dedicate to our sessions, depending on your situation and your needs.
You may decide to have just a few sessions, or to continue for a longer period.
During the sessions, you can talk about what feels the most important to you, and to your life.
Whatever you bring up is important to me and I will listen to, respectfully and empathically.
Sometimes you may want to explore the same issue for months, and sometimes you can change to something new.
